Today, once again, I’m very late to write this. Being a student is difficult. In the end, the stream doesn't matter if you're in 11th or 12th grade. Now people might say to us students, "Your only task is to study and get good grades", but it isn't the case!
Let's not talk about this right now...
If you all know about the upcoming Project of a Quarterly Magazine titled- The Chronicles, you all must be excited for such insightful piece of writing which includes stories, learnings, and futher insights on different themes. It features articles written by students and professionals
But, now comes the main topic, as the title of this blog says that "Reading & writing isn’t always studying". Those who are readers, who read different books apart from their academics, be it fiction, non-fiction, self-help, or any other, know exactly what I mean!
Reading & Writing, as you know are also the sections of our English Exams, why is it kept, why are we taught all of this?
In the end the answer is same, that is to make a habit of all this. We read to gain knowledge, get more insights on certain topics and even expand our vocabulary. We write for self-expression and reflection, sharing knowledge, entertaining people, building connections, and even sometimes just for survival.
I write these blogs every week, why? To share my stories, knowledge, and sometimes to motivate others. Writing a blog, a LinkedIn or Meta post, or even a book isn't that difficult. Reading too, is simply an art of feeling the expression of knowledge and stories through wonderful text. I am no big reader the way I said that, but hope you got the gist.
I am actually not sure about this particular blog, but what I truly want to express is this art of reading and writing. I have a lot of books in my bookshelf, most of which are untouched, waiting to be read. I am reading 2 book these days. Based on how I am feeling, I switch between both of them.
Whenever I feel productive, or motivated to do or achieve something, I read Do it Today by Darius Foroux, and when I feel the opposite, or even worse, I read Good Vibes Good Life by Vex King. This one I had started only a day ago and by reading just a few handful pages, I felt that okay this could be my bad time read. With 'bad time', I again mean unproductive and demotivated mood.
I have been reading for a year and half and I can guarantee that its really helpful. I have changed myself a lot through all of these books. I have read no more than 15 Books, but really, reading brings you more insights and perspectives that many can't.
I am writing this blog, my very first book—although I’m in the editing phase, but still it again requires writing a lot. Let's be real, both skills are necessary.
I have more than 2K followers on LinkedIn, not just because I connected with more and more people of my field but because I wrote what I wanted to, my learnings and stories connected to meaningful topics.
Both of these skills, at times, also get overwhelming but its okay, because we know that yes, we can actually do our best and get back on track. Let's cherish this art and move further while learning as much as we can!
This blog again might be a bit unstructured, but see, I’m also trying to get back on track. I was lost some time, but with these blogs, I am trying to get up once again!
Let's meet on Sunday! Good Luck!
Well... It's a good practice to write whatever you have in mind and share with your readers. It gives you a sense of self satisfaction ... It also gives u motivation to write more and more ...
And reading is another continuous activity that opens your mind and gives you lot of ideas.
So keep growing ..
All best wishes 👍👍
