Let's express it...

I am back with another blog on this not so amazing Sunday!

"Oh really Harshit? I think Sundays are the best...", this is what I might hear just after my previous sentence.

While suffering from fever, cough, and cold, due to which it is a not so amazing Sunday for me. I am also not able to complete my assignments, lectures, or even prepare for the class tests. But, I am still writing this blog. Why?

Okay, so no, I am not writing because it is my job, nor anyone ordered me to do so. But I am writing to reflect. To express what I have in my mind. To write something for which I have been waiting for the whole week. The essence of what has become more powerful in this not so well, sick condition.

So, before moving on to the main point, I want to show you a quote by Nelson Mandela, that I had recently posted on my LinkedIn, that is,

It always seems impossible until it's done.

This quote was accompanied by a few words that I got in my mind. I said that this quote is really very relatable if you are also building something big. As you know that I am building my own Magazine and am working with a talented team.

But, just think of the doubts. Are they real? Are they truly required to disturb you at every step? No! What I mean to say is that we all have doubts that eat us within. Making us mentally unsure or breaks down the project.

We are often stuck in our doubts rather than working on the only path to achieve something.

Questions like “What others will say” or “if it will work or not” doesn’t matter unless you are yourself giving your 100%.

Just like my company, Chronicles by Harshit is at its final stages to launch the first edition of its THE CHRONICLES Magazine. Even this project was started with not just one but lots of doubts. Even till date I am stuck within doubts. But what we should do instead is, understand the true meaning of this quote and move on!

What else to say on this. And with the title in mind, "Let's express it..." Hey! let's just express it. What I wanted to mention for a week was to encourage this youth, this new generation to not always rely on the current or upcoming advancements in technology. I always talk about literary skills in some or the other way.

But, today I am here to talk about something different. Expression not always starts with literature. But how come? Okay, so if you are not able to understand what expression really means over here. So basically, by "expression", I am trying to represent expressing skills or expression power. But how? So, expressing skills are actually the abilities that people use to communicate with thoughts, feelings, which is actually bound with verbal and non-verbal communication.

Expression starts with logic, emotion, and culture. How? Logic is what shapes thoughts, explains different ideas and make expression more clear. Emotion is the fuel for expression. As we all know that everything requires energy and expression which also needs the tone, and the authenticity. Making communication and expression human like and not AI-generated or robotic sort of. In the end, culture. It gives us the norms, the old stories and symbols. The generational or cultural style of expression, gestures, and co-operation with the society.

Now, the question that will arise starts with how do these three pointers validate expression being not only through literature. Actually, literary skills are not always bound with comprehension, writing, critical thinking, or language use. But, actually these three elements of logic, emotion, and culture, which too feels being a part of literary skills aren't actually a part but a supporting factor. Being the human behavior and their existence beyond books and formal language is what makes it different.

Now, why did I mention about expression. Why was I so concerned about logic, emotion, and culture. And also creativity which is yet another part of this journey. So, recently I read some LinkedIn posts and also consumed some productivity related or say creative content on YouTube. People all over the globe are actually mentioning how people have lost expression. The way of writing, speaking and all of such stuff that if is authentic, leads to the heights one could never be through fake or AI generated content. People are not ready to write job applications and even books by themselves.

All of which made me think that what is actually lacking in such crowd. Where all these three elements and much more which I can't even remember or sit and write here about.

Being so sick that I am on my bed right now and am still writing this also traces back to my commitment of writing every Sunday. While I sit behind and give such reasons. Even academics require this level of attention. And I hope this blog could bring some more insight and a long-term motivation to actually work towards such stuff and not take it small like a quick dopamine hit.

Also, my magazine is launching soon. Our first edition is featuring a few voices from across the globe. Also, AI's unique take on the theme is segmented too.
